The Alpha 12'6x31x6 Paddle Surf designed for fun.
We have designed a shape that is able to absorb sloshing, and guarantees stability and glide in all conditions. Stability is increased thanks to the square tail and a bow that provides more glide. The Alpha 12'6×31″ (9 kg) inflatable SUP is the ideal compromise between lightness and speed.
Its 76cm (31″) width ensures greater stability than its 71cm (28″) equivalent (the Alpha 12'6×28). This makes the Alpha the best compromise between stability and glide for an active first ride on SUP.
Technical characteristics:
STEERING : Simple and thin with US box.
TAIL : Wide tail for increased stability.
NOSE : 12,5 cm rocker at the front for easy chop passage.
ROCKER : constant curve to glide easily over the chop.
VOLUME: homogeneous, the 6′ thickness increases its stiffness and the maximum load of the blade.
STRENGTH: +++ thanks to the 3 layers in the rails.
SHAPE: 31″ wide in the centre of the blade which optimises stability, with a pointed tip to split the swell.
CONSTRUCTION :
On our Alpha, Malibu and Girly boards there is no need for unnecessary accessories to stiffen the board. We use the best Dropstich and PVC on the market, used for professional RIBs. Three layers of PVC in the rails stiffen the boards (exclusive to SROKA), while providing a feel similar to that of a rigid board. The additional advantage is the ease of use and storage of the inflatable.
FUSION TECHNOLOGY:
Fusion technology is a primary step in the construction of the board. The top of the PVC dropstich (dense polyester filaments) is fused (not glued) to the second layer of PVC. The advantages of this high-end technology are that the overall weight of the board is reduced by almost 2 kg (20%). It also improves the visual appearance of the board, making it softer and more pleasant to the touch. It also increases the longevity of the product by avoiding delamination problems, which can occur in some brands.
Finally, it increases the stiffness of the board by almost 30% and thus avoids over-inflation of the boards. We recommend an inflation of between 15 and 17 PSI.
